AUGUST 18- Know Your God!

As I have been reflecting on the message I taught on Sunday, I had a few additional thoughts that I wanted to share with you.

In order to review the passage discussed, lets look at it again...

I Chronicles 28: 9&10

This passage is David's charge to Solomon. It is filled with encouraging words for our hearts as well. We walked through these points on Sunday...

1) Know your God

2) Serve your God

3) Promise from God

4) Warning about God

This passage is David's charge to Solomon. It is filled with encouraging words for our hearts as well. We walked through these points on Sunday...

1) Know your God

2) Serve your God

3) Promise from God

4) Warning about God

My heart longs for you to dig deep into all the above truths, but truth #1 is key! Meditate on the following thoughts that J.I. Packer writes in his popular book titled, Knowing God...

Those who know God have great energy for God

Those who know God have great thoughts of God

Those who know God show great boldness for God

Those who know God have great contentment in God

I would recommend that every member of our church take the time to read this book. Add a comment below if you need more information as to how you can borrow this book. If you are interested in purchasing your own copy, here is a link to Amazon..

Looking forward to seeing you all on our next Lord's day,

Pastor Alex
